Bush for entrusting Southern Methodist University with an important national resource, the school's board of trustees unanimously approved an agreement to locate the Bush presidential library, museum and policy institute on the Dallas campus. The Feb. 22 vote came hours after an official announcement that the Bush Presidential Library Foundation had chosen the United Methodist-related school as home of the planned facility.
UN inaction persists and Darfur crimes too
January 27, 2008 — Is it a ZIONIST CONSPIRACY or GENOCIDE what has been happening in Darfur? This is a perpetual enquiry. The atrocities exercised against the people of Darfur are genocide. Genocide has taken place in Darfur. The recent developments by Professor George J. Andreopoulos of Department of Government, John Jay College of Criminal Justice, New York Author of Genocide: Conceptual and Historical Dimensions and others) outlines the criteria for establishing that genocide has happened: During the first 50 years after its ratification, the genocide convention lacked effective enforcement mechanisms, despite the fact that it contained provisions to enable the UN to enforce it. Although the convention stipulated that persons charged with genocide should be tried before an international penal tribunal or a tribunal of the state in which the crime was committed, no permanent penal tribunal existed at the international level until the early 21st century, and prosecutions at the domestic level were unlikely except in the rare case where a genocidal regime was overthrown and its officials were prosecuted by a successor regime.
A Different Perspective
Yogi Bear stood at the entrance to Jellystone National Park. He scouted unattended picnic baskets while awaiting Boo Boo Bears arrival home on the school bus. Yogi and Boo Boo were co-owners of a playoff fantasy team. As Yogi considered himself smarter than the average bear, he figured his team had a decided advantage, but he needed Boo Boos help in researching and deciphering the most recent data before submitting teams for the next round of games. So he waited anxiously and kept a look out for Ranger Smith. The school bus screeched to a halt at the entrance and Boo Boo climbed down the steps, dragging his back pack behind him. The bus roared off in a cloud of dust and rubble. Hey, Boo Boo! Were still in first place in our fantasy league. Lets go look at the stats and make our picks. I dont want to play anymore, Yogi.

Google's aspirations to gain a foothold on the small screen hardly stop there, with the search engine showing off its Android mobile phone system in Barcelona this week. Perhaps this explains why Microsoft wants to buy Yahoo!, which runs searches on a few mobiles, although one could say the $42 billion (£21 billion) might be better spent pursuing RIM or a mobile maker. All of which leads back, not all that obviously, to GCap Media, the home of Classic FM. Why bother to get up from the sofa to turn on that expensive, retro-styled DAB radio to listen to Birdsong when it would be a lot easier to press a Classic FM buttton on an iPhone? Internet transmission uses global standards while DAB is confined largely to one country, which British media executives and policymakers arrogantly believed would be followed by a grateful world.
