| Customized Online Support Services From SupportSpace Soothes Post ...
The tech experts at SupportSpace, an online service dedicated to providing a new standard of tech support, refer to the month of January 2008 as the technology hangover days. A couple of aspirin and a good night's sleep took care of the eggnog, but what about all those new gadgets you now have to deal with? Quick start guides and manuals are usually the first place consumers turn to when they can't find the on/off button or figure out how to install the batteries. After installing the measly memory card that comes with the camera and using up the few sheets of glossy paper that came with the printer, many people will be online visiting manufacturers' Web sites or user forums researching the 'how-to' sections for hours on end. So what is the best cure for the nasty post-holiday technology hangover? With tech support from SupportSpace, consumers can directly access the Web's most robust community of independent, certified tech experts to get their holiday tech toys configured and up and running.
Sound Advice: Pentax K20D to supplant less expensive K10D camera
Q: I have been pretty happy with my Olympus E-10. The price was right and my old Pentax cameras were starting to really show their age (my favorite one is well over 40 years old.) Now it seems that my Olympus is developing problems, and the company says it can no longer repair it. I have read that Pentax digital SLRs would work with any Pentax lens, which intrigued me as I have about eight different screw mount lenses I would love to be able to use again. I'm tempted by the newer models for the speed, as my E-10 is just not up to catching action shots. Would you recommend I buy a Pentax K10D and a screw mount lens adapter? Or would I be better off just buying a kit with two new lenses and giving my old equipment to a museum? JEFF PORT State College A: Nikon digital SLRs as well as Pentax digital SLRs work with older manual focus lenses, so this advice applies to both Nikon and Pentax lens owners.

Photosmart A626 photo printer
The HP Photosmart A626 is a compact photo printer that features a special 4.8-inch touch-screen display and stylus to make printing photos easier than ever. Equipped with a small carrying handle, the attractive, boom box-shaped A626 is designed for you to carry along on trips or special occasions. The A626's interface is intuitive and innovative, but like the larger, more expensive version of this printer—the Photosmart A826 ( )—the A626's print quality suffers from dull-looking dark prints. The A626 uses a tri-color ink system, which includes cyan, magenta, and yellow; this means that blacks are processed, or a combination of those three colors, as opposed to a true black ink. As a result, test prints with the A626 lacked depth and shadow detail; the quality of black-and-white photos was especially inferior.
