Honda FCX Clarity: A glimpse at the future

Additionally, it's not actually a pollution-free vehicle, despite having a garden hose for a tailpipe. Creating the hydrogen stored in the car's fuel tank requires the burning of fossil fuels, usually natural gas. This is a similar dilemma plug-in hybrids face. The theory looks good on paper, but may create new problems on the current infrastructure in the near future. Furthermore, energy is lost when creating hydrogen initially and it's lost again in the conversion back -- an inefficient system for such an efficient vehicle.

However, Honda points out creating hydrogen fuel releases 60 percent less CO2 than gas cars generate in a wheel-to-well comparison. And Honda is experimenting with producing hydrogen fuel through solar and wind-generated means -- a method that could make the Clarity's total carbon footprint disappear.

Don't Call It Plagiarism

Perhaps not since the air traffic controllers' strike of 1981 has the big press lavished such intense and generally sympathetic coverage on a labor dispute. Both the Washington Post ("it hasn't been easy for movie writers") and the New York Times ("my greed is fair and reasonable") have run op-eds by screenwriters demanding that the entertainment industry compensate Writers Guild of America members for digital use of their work on the Web, iPods, cell phones, etc., the sticking point of this strike.

In the opinion pages of the Los Angeles Times, writer-producer Marshall Herskovitz lectures about how corporate domination of Hollywood inconveniences him, and a nonscreenwriter laments the powerlessness of today's scribes ("there is nothing without the writer").

Have many Christians been getting it wrong?

Hijacking. TM fails to prove his point here, and so he resorts to a "thread-herring" argument. Let's keep it on the relevant thread please. Mastersofdeceit already owns that one anyway, and comprehensively so to boot.

If you're so old and experienced, why to you resort to the most juvenile tactics?

Britney Back With Adnan, Hoping to See Her Boys As Well

A day away from Britney and so much to recap. Today the pop star is expected to show up for a custody hearing to ask for visitation in a therapeutic setting as a means to also help Britney with her psychological problems. As far as the deposition is concerned, Kevin's lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan said that questioning Britney for her deposition has been gut-wrenching and unpleasurable and that he still has many many more questions to ask Britney before he's finished.

We have questions as well. Like why she was acting like Adnan was out of the picture but then spotted last night at Taverna Tony's restaurant in Malibu with him. Especially after he just took it upon himself to talk to ET about his experience hanging out with the pop star in a series of interviews.

JVC GR-D750

The final word: The GR-D750 is a solid little performer that punches well above its weight; offering impressive image quality for entry-level users. If you're on the lookout for a cheap miniDV camera, you could certainly do a lot worse than this.

ON PAPER at least, the GR-D750 is the unmistakable runt of the JVC litter. With its low image resolution, rudimentary feature set and cheap looking design, we certainly weren't expecting much; yet it turns out that looks can be very deceiving. From its attractive price tag to its above average video performance, this is one of the best budget offerings we've seen in quite a while. It represents excellent value for money and is a perfect introduction to digital video - provided you can live without the bells and whistles.

The GR-D750 is a standard-definition camcorder that records video to miniDV tapes.

Slain Navy Diver's Family Still Hoping for Justice

The West German government denied U.S. requests to extradite him, putting him on trial there instead. Found guilty of hijacking, hostage-taking and the murder of Stethem, he was sentenced in 1989 to life imprisonment.

But in December 2005, despite U.S. objections, Germany freed Hamadi and allowed him to return to Beirut, where some reports said he had rejoined Hizballah.

Since Hamadi walked free, Stethem's family has been campaigning for Lebanon to hand him over. They met with Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice in February 2006.

A year ago, Hamadi was added to the FBI's list of "most-wanted terrorists," established after 9/11, with a reward of up to $5 million on his head.

(Two other Hizballah members indicted in the U.S. along with Mughniyah in connection with the TWA hijacking, Hassan Izz-al-Din and Ali Atwa, remain at large and are also believed to be in Lebanon.
