Leo and Bar Are Back (Her Especially) in Beachwear

Leonardo DiCaprio must be voting absentee, because right now he's living the good life with his hot girlfriend Bar Refaeli down in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. It's almost a whole month since their last beach vacation, so it's understandable that he feels the need for another one. And it's not like it's any big secret why he would want to have his lady friend in a bikini as much as possible. It looks like while Leo was mostly enamored by his girl's assets, he also made sure to keep up to date on his BlackBerry and document his vacation on the digital camera. Most of all though, how much are you loving his beach hat?

Did I really hear this....

And, today's high schoolers are smart, motivated, hard-working and community oriented. And, as has been the case forever, self-absorbed and self-conscious.

The package is worth your time.

If you;d like to let The Vox staffers know what you think, here is a link to their blog, The Vox Box, which has a thread on the package.

The TV wall-mount business must be fiercely competitive - I counted at ...

BBC journalists have done quite a bit of video from CES this year. You can see a round-up on the website here.

Some of our stuff is also appearing on YouTube. You can take a look at Click's Spencer Kelly rounding-up Intel's ultra mobile plans on BBC Worldwide's YouTube page.

And here's a video we made, whizzing around CES in a three-minute tour.

UPDATE: Here's Rory's video on the public row between Intel and OLPC that I found on YouTube too.

Hospital kitchens fail hygiene, safety laws

The unhealthy kitchens are the latest blow to the NSW health system, already reeling over scandals including mismanagement of Royal North Shore Hospital and the bungled construction of the new Bathurst Hospital. A NSW Health spokeswoman said none of the issues incurred penalty notices and there was no threat to public health. "In all cases where there was an issue found at audit, remedial action was undertaken immediately." Brian Holloway, 56, had nothing but praise for the medical staff at Mona Vale Hospital during his long stay last year - but he had no love for the hospital's menu. He was appalled at being served what he said was quiches served flat like pancakes, rice tough enough to put through a slug gun and mashed potato like "quick-set cement".

Coaches look for edge with sideline gadgetry

In the age of iPhones, Blackberrys, high speed Internet modems and every other technological advance never even dreamed of in the days of "Star Trek," high school football has joined the wave.

For fans on Friday nights and Saturday afternoons, the focus is on the 22 athletes on the field. But just outside the lines there's an ongoing technological revolution.

Equipment checks on game day go far beyond helmets and pads. Video cameras, audio headsets and laptop computers allow coaches to gather, communicate and analyze information faster than ever.

Far from camera shy

Film has largely gone the way of the dinosaur as the VHS tape is making way for the recordable DVD, and coaches end the practice day working with a machine that makes three DVD copies of a game at a time, all in about five minutes.
